MX charging issue

I charged my Alta MX and noticed the charger light blinks red after a few minutes. I tried a different outlet and cable but no change. Could this be a charger issue or something deeper in the bike?

Yeah, usually when the charger starts blinking red, that could be a sign that it's picking up a fault. Can be the battery, the BMS or something in the wiring. Take a look at the battery itself to see if it's seated right or showing any swelling. Was the bike sitting unused for a while or stored somewhere really hot or cold?

heppened to me before. try to 'cycle' the connection. unplug the charger from the bike and the wall, wait about 15-30 seconds, and plug it all back in. Sometimes the BMS on these bikes needs a hard reset to start communicating right with the charger

Make sure to take a look at the charge port pins if any are bent, corroded, or loose, that could disrupt the connection with the charger and cause a fault blink. It’s also a good idea to check the fuse if your Alta MX has one located near the battery.
