Sudden screen freeze

My uncle has this 2018 Alta Redshift MX with only 7 miles on it. The bike was kept in storage since 2020. Decided to take it out and charge it. Worked great on the first day but the next day, screen froze while riding and has not worked since. The charger seems to work fine, but the bike won’t turn on. I checked the fuse and wires, everything looks okay. Has anyone had this happen before? Did I miss anything? Thanks!

Nice, that Redshift with just 7 miles is a legendary find! The problem you're experiencing is most likely due to the BMS going into Hibernation mode. Even if the charger light is green, the system might not be fully awake. I suggest leaving it plugged into the official Alta charger for a significantly longer period like 48 to 72 continuous hours. This extended charge time gives the BMS the opportunity to balance the cells and force a system reset, so don't unplug it until then. If that doesn't work, you'll need a specialist to manually wake the pack, but I'm optimistic the long charge should do the trick!

Does the charger need to be plugged into a specific port for the BMS to wake properly? and also during that 72-hour charge, is it okay to check the bike or should it be totally untouched?
