the best electric dirtbike commute vs trails?

I need an electric dirtbike that can handle both daily commuting and weekend off roading.

I'm currently looking at popular models like Surron, maybe Eride. They seem perfect, but I'm worried about range, as most claim only 40–60 miles per charge. Is that realistic for mixed use?
also, what's the best balance for a true dual purpose electric bike?
