You'd be amazed at how well they manage rough terrain, there's enough torque for climbing and they keep their balance on rocky areas. The battery life varies with how hard you push it but you can typically expect about 2 to 3 hours of great riding.

yeah, that 2–3 hour window is pretty accurate for technical trail riding. however, if you're doing a lot of high loop steep climbs, expect that to drop.
one tip is that if you're worried about range, use the PRB on the descents. not just for slowing down, it can actually give you back enough juice to finish that last mile back to the truck
