Phone charging on MXR

I’ve been riding my Alta MXR more lately and my phone battery gives up way before I do. Has anyone figured out how to charge a phone from the bike while riding? I’m not looking to fry anything, just want to keep my maps alive!

I used a power bank mounted on the handlebar with a solar trickle charger. it doesn’t pull from the bike but keeps maps going all day. Are you riding long enough that onboard charging is a must?

bro, forget wiring in. get a small, quality power bank and strap it to your chest protector or inside a fanny pack. It’s cleaner, safer, and you don't risk frying the Alta's fussy electronics if you hit a big puddle or have a connection fail
