So, you’ve just taken your new e-bike battery out of the box and realized it’s like having a little thunderstorm right there with you. What are some tricks, habits, or “definitely don’t do that” lessons you follow to keep everything safe?

When I first got my battery, I treated it like it was about to blow up no joke. Now, I make sure to keep it charged in a nice, dry spot, never stack anything on it, and I always check the connections before I head out for a ride.

I found out the hard way that just tossing a battery in the corner isn’t smart. Now, I treat it with care, keeping it insulated, ventilated, and far away from anything that could spark. It might not be the easiest way to store it, but safety comes first.

During my first week, I tried a “quick and easy” charging setup… it ended with sparks flying everywhere when I unplugged it. Since then, I've stuck to using the manufacturer’s recommended charging methods, kept metal away from the terminals, and treat it like it's a little storm waiting to happen.
