Cooling solutions for high-power motors

For those of you running high-output setups, what strategies have you found most effective for keeping temps under control? Are traditional fans and heatsinks sufficient, or is liquid cooling the more intelligent choice?

When it comes to handling sustained high loads liquid cooling really shines with its excellent heat transfer and stability. However, a setup that includes high-CFM fans and well-optimized fin spacing can also do the job well, as long as there’s no obstruction to the airflow.
