I know the feeling playing it cool with my gloves while the freezing temperatures drain the battery. Now, I just bring mine into the garage and give it a slow charge every couple of weeks. Nothing special, just enough to prevent it from dying completely.

Yeah, I found out the hard way last winter when I left my pack in the shed, thinking it was still summer. When I finally got to it, the battery acted like it needed a strong cup of coffee to wake up. Now, I keep it warm, charge it to about half, and I run the bike for a few minutes every now and then to keep everything in good shape.
