Hey, long-time dirt biker here. Now finally making the jump to electric. Never too old to try something new right?!
So I've been on gas bikes (mostly 250cc four-strokes) since I was a kid and just put an order in for a new Surron Ultra Bee. I'm stoked about the low maintenance and being able to ride more places, but I know the experience is going to be fundamentally different.
For those of you who've made the transition, what are the biggest things I need to look out for or adjust in my riding style? Specifically, I'm worried about the lack of a clutch and engine braking, and how that affects corner entry and control on steep descents. Any tips on getting used to the throttle response and power delivery of electric would be hugely appreciated too. I want to avoid picking up bad habits right away!
Thanks in advance for the advice. See you all on the trails!
