After experiencing a sticky throttle that was just dirt and grit, I’ve started to be more mindful.

I had a throttle stick while working once, and it really made me jump.
Now, I just wipe down the cables, give them a quick spray of PTFE, and pop on some rubber boots.
It's a fast and inexpensive fix that keeps everything running smoothly.
Honestly, it feels like giving my controls a little spa treatment.

I remember when my brake cable got stuck from all the dirt and grime, and I learned my lesson quickly. Now, I use light silicone lube, keep protective sleeves on the cables, and flex them a bit here and there to shake out any debris. It saves me a lot of headaches and keeps me from cursing in front of the team.
