Regen acting weird on rough trails

Regen can be a bit unpredictable on rough trails, can't it? You're gliding over a rocky path, barely touching the throttle, and out of nowhere, the regen starts feeling all grabby and awkward. It really messes with your rhythm and confidence. Have you experienced this too?
