Hey guys, I've had my 2023 FX (ZF7.2) for some time now but this is my first time joining and posting in a forum. So I'm starting to push it a lot harder on some local single track that has gotten seriously rooted out and rocky this season. I've messed with the stock Showa rear shock adjustments and yes, I'm talking about pre-load, compression and rebound. It's still okay for fire roads, it's just getting overwhelmed on high-speed hits and feels like it's packing up quick, giving me a harsh ride and less control when I need it most. I'm around 185 lbs in gear. I'm curious if anyone here has upgraded the rear shock for serious off-road riding? Are there any modern, off-the-shelf dirt bike shocks that people have successfully adapted with good results? Looking for better damping and possibly a little more bottom-out resistance. Keen to hear your recommendations and firsthand experience! Thanks!
