KTM freeride E XC won't charge after the rain

I'm in a bit of a jam with my bro's 2023 KTM Freeride E XC. I took the bike out for a ride in a rainstorm yesterday, and now it's acting weird.
I tried to charge it overnight using the storage mode, but now it won't show any LED lights on the charging level indicator, and it's not making the usual charging sounds.
It's completely dead. It feels like there's something fried, but I'm not sure what.

My bro's going to k1ck my 4ss if he knows this. Has anyone else had this issue with their electric KTM?
Any ideas on what's going on or how I can get it to charge again before he knows?

oh, don't worry sam, you can fix it. what you should do now is to make sure the charging port on the bike and the connector on the charger are completely dry.
use compressed air if you have it, and then let it sit in a warm, dry place (like a garage with a space heater) for a solid 24 hours. The last thing you want to do is plug it in while there's still moisture in there

The problem is almost certainly related to water getting into the bike's electrical system, specifically the battery or charging port. Even though KTM Freeride is for off-road use, heavy rain will test its water resistance. The fact that the charging lights are completely dead suggests the battery's BMS has shut down as a safety measure. First step should be to get the bike into a very dry place and let it air out for a couple of days, maybe even with a fan blowing on the charging port and battery to help everything dry out. Do not try to charge it again until it is completely dry. If it still doesn't work after drying, there may be a deeper issue with the battery or the BMS, which could require professional attention.
