First track day with the Sting R and heat issues

A co-worker and I both ride after hours and he convinced me to bring my Talaria Sting R MX4 to a local practice track in Michigan. The acceleration out of corners was impressive and the four-piston brakes held up well under repeated hard stops. The only issue was heat buildup in the motor after about 40 mins of continuous laps. Has anyone added aftermarket cooling solutions for extended track sessions?

A few riders have added heat sinks, vented motor covers, or switched to higher-end motors like the Sotion FW02 to help with heat during longer track sessions. Some also upgrade the controller to better manage temps under load. Are you still running the stock setup or already swapped anything out?

Will start with the vented cover and heat sink before my next track session in about 2 weeks and if temps still spike, I'll look at the bigger upgrades. Regarding the Sotion FW02, are you running it on stock gearing or did you also have to change ratios to help with the heat?
