First time riding the Dunes

I'm finally taking my bike out to dunes and I need some advice on getting it ready for the sand. This is my first time riding a dirt bike in the dunes and I want to make sure I prep my bike right. I already have a paddle tire but it only has six paddles. Will that be enough for a 250F in the deep sand? And what about bike prep? Should I run lower tire pressure than normal too? I know I need to change the jetting to handle the different airflow was wondering what else should I check before I go.

I'm bringing this thread back because I'm curious how your dunes trip turned out. You mentioned a 250F and jetting, which is for a gas bike but the same sand tips work for our electric bikes too. We usually keep tire pressure low, around 10-12 PSI. With the quick torque on an e-bike, a six-paddle can dig in and make ruts, so a lot of us go with an eight-paddle for better float.

Six paddles may struggle in deep sand on 250F, eight paddles provide better float and less digging. 10-12 PSI is correct for sand riding. Electric bikes' instant torque makes paddle count more critical to avoid bogging down.
