Wanted to throw this out to the group, do you think a worn chain will trash brand new sprockets faster, or is it the other way around.....will worn sprockets that make a chain stretch quicker? I've heard if you throw a new sprocket on a stretched chain, the teeth just get chewed up immediately but I've also heard riding on worn sprockets wears out even a fresh chain way faster

From my years turning wrenches, it’s usually the chain that chews up sprockets if you run it past its stretch limit but a hooked sprocket will eat into a new chain too. That’s why the old rule of thumb was to replace both together whenever possible. How many hours or miles do you have on your current setup?
