Controller and battery upgrade for MX4

Been enjoying trail riding with my MX4, stock power and torque are fantastic! I just fin the top end lacking when I hit open fire roads.. it feels it capped out too early. I've done the free unlock, but I want more realistic, sustained speed for blasting across wide open areas.

Came here to look for advice on the best next performance mod with top speed as the primary goal, even if it sacrifices a little low-end punch. I'm willing to drop some serious cash on a controller and/or battery upgrade, but I'm trying to figure out the most effective and reliable combination.

Has anyone here gone with a full 72V battery and an aftermarket controller like a Torp or Nucular on their Sting R? What kind of actual, verifiable top speed gains did you see? Any motor or gearing changes you recommend in addition to the battery or controller to really maximize speed? I'm aiming for the highest safe top speed possible without sacrificing the MX4's inherent reliability too much. Open to hear all recommendations! Thanks!

A 72V upgrade with a Torp or Nucular controller will get you into the mid-60s mph range but be prepared for more motor heat and less efficiency on high speed runs. To really stretch that top end, you'll want to swap to a smaller rear sprocket, like a 42T. Are you planning to keep the stock motor long term or would you upgrade it too if heat becomes a limiting factor?
