Best components for a 72V diy electric dirt bike build

I’m diving into my first DIY electric dirt bike build using a gas bike roller. I’ve already got a Kunray 72V 5000W motor kit, but I’m a bit stuck on the rest of the electronics.
Does anyone have tips on which batteries and speed controllers would pair best with this motor? I want to make sure I’m getting enough power without frying anything.

Will this kit hold up for trail riding, or should I be looking at different specs? Any advice for a first-timer would be huge!

Great project! The Kunray kit is a good choice, but just make sure your battery voltage is compatible and choose a speed controller with some extra capacity to avoid damaging your electronics later.

That sounds fantastic! If you’re hitting the trails, go for a battery with high discharge capabilities and a speed controller that exceeds your motor’s maximum amps. It’s better to have a bit of extra power than risk ruining your first build!
