Battery swap issues

My brother in law upgraded his Talaria Sting R with a bigger lithium battery and now the charger gets hot and shuts off early. We’re wondering if the charger isn’t strong enough for the new pack or if something’s off with the wiring. Has anyone run into this after a battery swap?

If the new pack has higher capacity or a different BMS than stock, the factory charger may be running at its max output which would explain the heat and early cutoff. Matching the charger’s voltage and current rating to the upgraded pack is key, otherwise it will either undercharge or overheat. Do you know the specs on the replacement battery and the charger’s rated output?
