Each New Year brings a wave of big ideas, but let’s be real most of us only hold on to a couple of simple traditions. Whether it’s a cherished meal, a daily routine, or a small habit that feels good, what’s the New Year’s tradition that you truly keep up with?

probably the total digital reset tradition. On Jan 1st, I go through all my apps and subscriptions, cancel what I don’t use, and organize my home screen. It sounds nerdy, but starting the year with zero 'digital clutter' is the only habit that actually makes me feel like I’ve got a fresh start!

I kick off each year with a big breakfast. This habit started ages ago when I had early shifts and hardly ate in the mornings. Now, it’s my little reset ritual, coffee, eggs, and a peaceful hour before everything gets hectic again.

My main tradition is taking a long walk on New Year’s Day. I started doing this during a tough winter a few years back, and it just stuck with me. There are no goals or pressure—just a way to clear my mind and ease into the new year.

I keep things straightforward with a yearly “clean-out” of my desk. It all started after one New Year when I couldn't find anything I needed. Now, it’s my way of starting fresh without getting too caught up in the whole resolution idea.
