Ideal work session length before a break

Have you ever considered how long you should work before taking a break? I’ve spent many afternoons knee-deep in projects, thinking I could just power through. But I’ve learned there’s a sweet spot long enough to get into a rhythm, but short enough to keep from burning out. What’s your ideal work session length?

I thought working non-stop was the way to go, but burned fingers and bad welds taught me otherwise. Now, I work in 60-90 minute bursts to stay sharp.

I used to skip breaks and just get tired and make a mess. Now I work for about 75 minutes, take a quick break for coffee and a stretch, and my projects go way better.

Found out the hard way that you can't just focus forever. About 90 minutes is my max, so I take a break to stretch and get a snack to keep my head and hands in the game.
