Christmas day ride how’d your e‑bike hold up?

I took my e-bike for a spin on Christmas Day this year, mainly to clear my head after the morning hustle. The cold made the battery work a bit harder, but it managed the hills better than I thought it would. It got me curious about how everyone else's bikes held up.

Did your range drop? Did everything go smoothly, or did the weather throw you some surprises? I’d love to hear how your Christmas ride turned out.

I went for a quick ride on Christmas, mostly just to get away from all the noise for a little while. The battery life took a hit in the cold, but thankfully not as much as it did last year. After a few miles, the battery warmed up and kept going without any issues.

I took my bike out after lunch, and the first mile was pretty tough since the battery was a bit slow to respond. A couple of winters ago, it actually died on me, so I was bracing for a repeat. Fortunately, this time it managed the cold much better, though I did notice a slight drop in range.

Overall, my Christmas ride went really well. I’ve figured out that warming the battery up inside beforehand helps since I had one holiday ride where it struggled just to get down the block. Doing that this year kept everything running smoothly, even with the chilly winds.
